Travelouge Day 1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With the world having more or less gotten back to normal, I decided that it was time to start seeing it again.\u00a0 A minority of my ancestors were Irish, so it was a place I had always wanted to visit.\u00a0 On Saturday, September 9th, I caught a plane to Chicago to connect with a flight to Dublin.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That flight was cancelled due to an unspecified &#8220;operational issue&#8221;.\u00a0 I ended up on another flight late in the day on the 10th, and ended up making it to Dublin late in the morning of the 11th.\u00a0 After making it to the hotel and sleeping for a few hours, I went out to explore the town and search for food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Some subsequent plans involve meeting up at the Molly Malone statue, so finding it was a priority.\u00a0 The statue is located near St. Patrick&#8217;s \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After\u00a0 wandering into a nice little restaurant\u00a0 called The Millstone for some mussels frites and a whiskey sour with actual egg foamer on top. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I continued to poke around until I found the statues of Edmund Burke and Oliver Goldsmith in front of Trinity College.\u00a0 I will be taking an actual tour of the college soon, so I moved
